OTA EPG Info Incorrect or Displaying 'Digital Service'

have a weird one on the 211K

In Minneapolis KMSP 9 (Fox) and WFTC 29 (My) the SD subchannel is on the others RF station. So RF9 scans in 9-1 and 29-2 and 29 scans in 29-1 and 9-2. (*suppose to) Issue is the SD version shows the "other" channels guide

So 9-1 shows right
9-2 shows the guide for 29
29-1 shows right
29-2 shows the guide info for 9
guide been showing like that for the longest time, they did have it right at one time but seems like a distant memory

the same here in willmar,mn off of the low power stuff here. I think it has to do with the fact they are on different rf channels here.

Springfield Mo. Market

015-00 in SD off Satellite, (CW) info ok
033-02 in HD off Antenna (CW) same channel as above KCZ, digital service info more than a year now, makes it hard to record without guide info.
005-00 in SD off Satellite (FOX KRBK) dish does have it uplinked in HD, maybe turn it on this week. Guide info ok.
049-01 in HD off Antenna (Fox KRBK) same channel as above. Guide info is same as channel 272 FTRAW, hope we get this fixed soon.

Sucks that they haven't even tried to address this issue...
I realize it's more work, but if anyone can contact the engineering people at their local station(s) and begin a good dialogue, odds are that those people can get the issue solved by working directly with Dish. Of course, the people at station "A" aren't likely to communicate to Dish any similar issue with station "B" though.

I emailed the Dish Quality Dept at Echostar and I forwarded this to the op. managers at the TV stations.
Dish Quality Dept. said it is because of improper TSID's. I emailed the tv managers and dish quality once in March 2011 and in May and June 2011 but nothing has changed on my OTA data. I sent them the TSID's that I acquired but all is the same as it was in March.
My original post in this thread is #18 from 3/9/2011

Read post # 2
OK, I read that. (1) Tony only said he "hoped" to get engineering involvement. Seems likely that never happened. (2) Tony is no longer with the Dish IRT. I think jb3683's chirping is entirely appropriate.

Norfolk, VA (don't know DMA #)

15.01 WHRO displays correct info

15.02 WORL displays duplicate of 15.01 info (actual programming is correct, just the guide info is wrong)

15.03 displays correct info.

By the way, the channel guide at Zap2it (Tribune) is correct for these channels.

Reported this to Dish via online chat. Said it would be referred to engineering.

Also, like others here, would like to see the guide info for AntennaTV. It is available at Zap2it so we know Tribune can supply it to Dish if they would ad it to the guide.

Well we have one that Dish needs to move now

KSTP 5 (ABC) and KSTC (Ind) did some housekeeping on their numbering system (they call it streamline) today

They moved 45-1 (Ind) and 45-2(This) to 5-45 & 5-4. This never had guide info but now 45 is all screwed up

45-1 shows guide info for 45. The issue is 45-1 is a loop on how to rescan your TV
5-45 shows digital service but its what was 45-1

So the guide info is there....its more of a pointing to the right channel now

that is a stupid change, as it means going further down in out of UHF into the VHF frequencies. I wonder why they are shifting them down. Someone else want the UHF spectrum?

they are adding my tv and renaming the 45 number to channel 5

its just a remap. We have a couple examples like that in Minneapolis

In the analog days we had 2 PBS stations, KTCA 2 & KTCI 17...both owned by Twin Cities Public Television. KTCA is on RF34 and KTCI is on RF23. 6 months before the conversion they merged them together on the PSIP info. SO we have this
2-1 PBS (RF34)
2-2 The MN channel (RF34)
2-3 TPT Life (think Create) (RF23)
2-4 Aeronautical weather (RF34)

Now 5 & 45 did the same thing. Both are owned by Hubbard (the same folks who started USSB back in the day). KSTP 5 is on RF35 and KSTC45 is on RF45. So now the PSIP shows
5-1 KSTP (RF35)
5-3 MeTV (RF45)...coming soon
5-4 ThisTV (RF45)
5-45 KSTC (RF45)
45-1 & 45-2 are just loops on how to rescan

The goofy one in the bunch is why they moved 5-2 which had reruns of news and the locals shows to 45-5 (RF35)

Mike I've seen this done in many markets where companies own 2 different stations.
