I never understood the Mangini hatred. I actually really liked his philosophy as a coach. He's not a good talent evaluator by any means, so he'll have to be paired with a good GM, but he IS a very good coach!

Well, it's not hatred. Cowher, John Gruden and Jeff Fisher ...are a angus cut of steak...Mangini compared to those guys is a ham & cheese sandwich. Nothing wrong with a ham & cheese sandich, but if you had the choice and chance... You almost always go with the angus cut.

....IMHO.

I have a feeling at some point toward the end of the season you will hear that the league warned teams about staying competitive for 16 games. Luck is projected to be that good.

The Colts are at Jacksonville in week 17. Wouldn't it be interesting if the Luck sweepstakes came down to that head-to-head matchup??

NFL informed the NFLPA it's prepared to start collecting blood samples for HGH testing on Monday. Since they are still wrangling over the procedures for the actual testing, they were encouraged by Congress to at least start collection and then proceed with testing.

The NFLPA has replied and said "not yet" ...

Guess it's time for another visit to Congress.

I am FOR HGH testing. What I am not for is collect the players blood before there is even a procedure to administer the test. I mean it's like a bank that states they WILL have a saving account soon, give us your money and we'll inform you when the saving accounts starts.

The difference is if people are cheating now, they should be punished for it, not just when we get around to having a test that people are happy with. The threat of testing should deter use now, not once it's agreed on and a date is announced that collections will start.

The NFLPA is objecting to the test that is used for the Olympics. They've done little more than drag their feet after agreeing to testing in the new CBA.

I have no idea how you get a bank savings account analogy out of drug testing just because it might take a week or two to get the details of testing sorted out and the blood would have to be stored.

He's going from an offense where his receivers all played the same position every single down to one of the more complex playbooks this generation. Probably will get 2 practices and a walkthrough.

So little time, wonder how much he'll even be hit in practice, or if they'll have a pads practice between now and Sunday (only get so many per year now).

LMAO! At no point did I say it was a bad idea, at no point did I say that HGH testing is a bad idea and I never said it should be not be implemented. I just feel that it should not be started till all "i" are dotted, all "t" crossed and there a procedure in place.

Thats my humble opinion.......Next time just "agree to disagree" and move on dude....geez.
