DISH Announces Universal Sports Network

Sports Pakc should have all the Sports channels, like Fox Soccer, and also Fox Deportes and ESPN Deportes, Tennis and Golf...
And you should be allowed to add it from another package, not just the packages that already have most of those channels.

I agree it should have more sports in it. I'm not going to upgade to top 250 just to get nbc sports and tenis channel

So, I'd have to pay an additional $7/mo on top of the Top 250 to get US. Maybe those of us who aren't getting any RSN, we fall into the MSG region, can talk Dish into giving us the MS package instead. On the RSN region maps, they are still showing MSG/MSG+.

i did not know trhat Scott they do not have no plans for a HD feed.i wsih they would create one in time for the olympics.

Channel looks worthless other than for some Olympics coverage(which I couldn't care less about), what is there to get excited about?

And yes I am a sports fan before anyone asks.

I take the opposite view -- it's the only sports channel I'd watch. (So I'm not real happy about it being in the sports package.)

Kind of ridiculous to brag to your viewers that you have the channel for an extra $7 when they used to receive it for free with an OTA Antenna.

since it's not available OTA anymore, kind of rediculous to complain that they are giving people the opportunity to see the channel again...

Just another channel that wanted to double-dip advertising and subscriber revenue. Eventually, the only channel available free OTA will be PBS.

In NY it was only available ota/cable in NYC Albany, Buffalo and Jamestown. Nowhere else. To watch it I used a Chinese program that streamed TV out of NYC.

If you love cycling, you love Universal Sports. They have sufficient coverage to be desirable for those who are in to cycling. Also, pretty decent coverage of Olympic sports, especially swimming and gymnastics with only few of the "last" finals also aired on the NBC broadcast network IN HD! Uni Sports should be in HD. It's a SPORTS channel. HOW STUPID IS Comcast/Universal?
