Anyone noticed that getting Blockbuster disks at home has suddenly slowed to a crawl?

Having now had the Blockbuster@Home for 3 weeks now I must say I am happy. Turnaround for the movies shipped, although not as fast as Netflix (usually 3 to 4 day turnaround versus Blockbuster 5 to 6 day turnaround) is still acceptable. Their rental selections are better and new movies are available much sooner then Netflix. The streaming part could be much improved, especially the crappy selection but that's okay, I'm really not into watching old movies I have seen before anyway.

Turned in disc on Friday, 8/17 Here it is Saturday 8/25 and they still have not mailed me a disc. I have 42 in my queue and 26 of them are available now. I called twice and the csr says both time that my disc will be mailed SOON. The csr says he would go to the warehouse and get me a disc, but the United States will not give him a Visa.

what a response!

Thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer. They absolutely have no respect for their customers,It is no wonder they treat their employees so bad. They treat their customers worse. BB is Dish and Dish is BB. BB@Home customers are Dish customers.

Hmm I have not had any issues with them so far been able to get things really quick so forth..

Dish is revamping money into the old blockbuster stores for everyone to go in and exchange 1 for 1 in the store... and yes 3 large distro centers were closed to reopen some of the retail stores and employees were giving the option to man those stores at the same pay but a large sum refused due to the move and quit,

Small quote "In a Depression or "Recession" go to where the work is!!" Nuff said

Running good for me, dropped off a DVD last night at BB, recieved an email this morning that next DVD is being shipped out.

I'm still waiting on my second disc since the last time I sent both disc back. I think I need to add more selection to my queue because I'm down to about 8 movies on it and all have a wait time. Mostly "long wait time". I can't even get the movie "Rum Runner" and I believe it's 2 years old.

The fact that so many movies seem to have a very long wait, is the only thing I get a little upset with. Otherwise it's been a good service.

That reminds me, I need to take The Hunger Games out of my queue. I rented it from RedBox a few days ago. I got it when I wanted it and it worked the first time.

I had The Hunger Games in my queue also. I deleted it because I already watched it on VUDU. Well guess what? After I deleted it,BB sent the BR disc to me.

This morning I went into my queue and searched for some more movies to add to it since it seems BB can't send me any of the 8 I have had in my queue. I went through all the BRs and then the 100 top rentals. I picked out a number of movies, I say around 20 or so. Then when I went back to my queue, about 13 of the movies were listed on the bottom as "Not Available." Now why would they present the movie with the "Add to queue" button, when it's not even available at all? If it's because I selected the BR version, than BB shouldn't show that it's in BR if it's not. I just don't understand the logic. Yet one movie I picked came up with the "add to queue" button greyed out and not available at my location...so really, the movie just isn't available period, but yet they list it. Just doesn't make sense to me along with having movies that are two years old and still on a "very long wait!"

Time of my DVD's mailed to me is good, but some of the emails they send out are odd. Returned a DVD at the store today today and received two emails one, thanking me for returning the DVD then another one saying my DVD will be sent out when I return the DVD? Don't know of they need to update there email responses as with these emails I still have good turn around times when I return a DVD to blockbuster

I have learned the secret on how to get the Blu-ray discs you want to see, delete them from your list. I deleted the Hunger Games from my list,& then they sent it to me,& now I did the same thing with Battleship(after my queue said "very long wait"),& guess what?

I'm going to try that. I had thought about that before figuring I had nothing to lose. The BRs have been on my list for months without change in wait status. Thanks for your suggestion. I'll post if it works for me.

When you return a disc to the store, it goes to your returned queue, but does not get a date returned until they get the actual disc from the store. Then your email is sent out for that disc. This could be after your have received other emails on other activity. It is very confusing, since the emails are not in the same order that you might think they should be. Check your returned queue and notice dates missing on returned disc.

Does BB make more rentals available if you go to 2 out at a time? When I was with NF and had only one at a time I had a lot of waits, when I went to 2 practically all of them became available.
