HR # 41 for Cabrera tonight, he continues to POUND the ball !!!!

I heard a stat earlier that Cabrera was hitting .330 ish in Sept, while Trout is hitting .274 ....
Now that were in the stretch run, Trout isn't carrying his team.

Did you notice how the ESPN team was on the Team Trout for MVP bandwagon? They concluded that winning the Triple Crown (something nobody has done in 45 years) AND getting the Tigers into the playoffs would make Cabrera's case much stronger. However, they were quick to point out that three Triple Crown winners were never awarded MVP.

Athletics vs Tigers at 1:05 PM ET this afternoon. We have Sanchez throwing against Milone so had better be hitting and fielding this afternoon. We simply cannot lose ANY home games. After the Oakland series, we're home for another 7-games and will need to win them all IMO:

Fri, Sep 21 vs Minnesota 7:05 PM Porcello (9-12) Deduno (6-4)
Sat, Sep 22 vs Minnesota 4:05 PM Fister (9-9) Diamond (11-8)
Sun, Sep 23 vs Minnesota 1:05 PM Scherzer (16-6) Walters (2-4)
Mon, Sep 24 vs Kansas City 7:05 PM Verlander (15-8) Hochevar (8-14)
Tue, Sep 25 vs Kansas City 7:05 PM Sanchez (8-12) Chen (11-12)
Wed, Sep 26 vs Kansas City 7:05 PM Porcello (9-12) Guthrie (7-12)
Thu, Sep 27 vs Kansas City

Go Tigers!!!

We can't rely on someone else helping us, nor shoud we. If we don't win the next seven (7) games at home then we deserve to watch the playoffs on TV.

Like it or not, Tigers have to rely on someone else. They could win every game left and still not make the playoffs.

True, but we were given a gift yesterday and fell flat on our faces. We can safely count on the White Sox losing 3-games the rest of the season (13-games)...but anything more is a gift. We need to win 11 of our closing 13 games, including all of our home games, if we're going to win the division. We cannot, and should not, rely on the White Sox finishing 6-7 and us closing out the season 8-5. That's horse-hockey!

We must close-out the season 11-2 and finish like a good team. If we don't win the Al Central...well, then the Tigers need to give serious thought as to who is coming back next season.

I want to see a World Series game in Detroit and one here in DC this fall. :)

I think that not right, I would look at the over all play ...
Also factor in what the person does down the stretch to help his team ...
Right now Trout is failing while Cabrera is carrying his team.
