Anyone noticed that getting Blockbuster disks at home has suddenly slowed to a crawl?

On schedule for me as well, Dropped off DVD at BB on Saturday, recieved email that I would get it on Thursday, got it today. Though I did think I might get it yesterday :)

Still great turnaround for me. If any of you are waiting on "The Artist" let me appologize in advance. I've had it for 2 weeks now and still haven't watched it so I can return it. :)

What is a great turnaround for someone who has had their latest disc two weeks and hasn't even watched it yet?

That sometimes happens to me with I pickup DVD's from BB...get a bit lazy in watching them. But when I get them in the mail I try to watch ASAP

This is the first time I haven't watched a movie the week I got it. Typically I return on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday (in the mail) and get my next movie sometime Wednesday or Thursday (it has been on Tuesday occasionally). Average 3 days turnaround.
With it being holidaytime and all, I just haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Happens to me as well, as I mentioned before when I get a DVD in the mail I tend to watch it as soon as possible, when I get it from BB I tend to let it stick around a bit

Trying to figure out why i'm getting different shipping times than everyone else. You guys are saying mail back 24th get new 27th, while I'd be lucky for the movies to even get there by the 27th.

Maybe your post office just sucks. That is a possibility. Or maybe you a long way from a distribution point. I can tell you mine goes from me to Springfield, MO (45 minutes away to Kansas City, MO (3 hours from Springfield). New ones come reverse route back.

Someone on here, can't recall who is further away from the same distribution center, and still gets it a couple of days faster. So i'm not sure. Also having problems with Greencine(unrelated to usps however). Can't catch a break with movie watching.

I usually get mine on day three. Mine come from Atlanta Ga to Pensacola, FL, which is about 350 miles. About a 6 hour drive.

Mine is 30 mins away. Best I can get is one disk a week and that's only if I return it the very next day after getting it.

Thats right, Jerry has the same center as I and I am and I am (im closer) and I'm lucky to have it here on day 4 normally. No other mail has problems so usps not to blame.I'm lucky if i get movies in a 10 day period.

Yeah, it sounds like your distribution center sucks then. Remember though (for everyone else), how close you are to the BB distribution center does not always matter. I think it is better to look at where YOUR mail hub and the BB distribution center mail hub is. The large USPS mail hubs do make a difference. If I mail a letter to someone else in the town I live in, it still goes to a USPS hub 45-50 miles away and then comes back to the town I'm in. How many "points" it has to route too on both trips makes a big difference.

He gets his atleast a whole day faster than me, and I am closer to our distribution center. So I don't think a distribution center is to blame, and I have 0 problem with other mail.

Somehow, the return mailer disappeared over the holidays. So tomorrow I'll drop it off at a local BB store. YEP- open regular hours tomorrow, 10-11!

How are you all figuring out which distribution center your disks come from? I examined my envelope until I'm blue in the face, and see no distinguishing stamps.

I just look at the return address. I figure it's going back to where it was shipped from.
