They wouldn't stop playing the smaller schools would they? They still play FCS schools now.

If they wouldnt, I would see little reason to proceed down this path. The games against FCS schools will soon come to an end, i predict games against those on the outside of the "big five" will get fewer and farther between as well, although there will surely be some exceptions.

he conducted "daily Bible study sessions" with Aaron Hernandez, which sounded like a bit of an exaggeration (Daily? Really?) and, in the end, obviously didn't produce the desired results.
Whatever. Much of the lure of the college sports – and certainly the longstanding trend of fans godding up their coaches – stems from this kind of stuff.
This is not just shtick with the Ohio State coach though. He believes he is someone who runs the model program and grows exasperated – if not combative – at those who challenge that assertion. Maybe its delusional, maybe it isn't. Only he knows how much he really cares. Publicly, he doesn't even cop to being Father Flanagan. He's above that, he's the coach who wouldn't touch Father Flanagan's guys.
"The top one percent of the one percent" is whom Meyer said he'd recruit when he was at Florida, a percentage that in the end didn't jibe with the police logs of Gainesville.

As always, it's worth noting that these things happen pretty much everywhere. Last month the United States Naval Academy charged three men, each either a current or former member of the football team, with the sexual assault of a female student. You could certainly argue that these Midshipmen were, up to that moment, actually the "top one percent of one percent." And they sure weren't attending a school that lacked discipline.
For Meyer though, much to his disbelief, the benefit of the doubt has expired outside of the most devoted fans of whatever team he is coaching at the moment.

Not sure why it broke the quote up. I even went back to edit, took the mid quote break out, and saved. It automatically put the quote back in.

This went from a report saying that Hyde had been Dismissed from the team to later, he'd been suspended ...

Now theres a Yahoo report that has VIDEO of the altercation and Hyde didn't even touch her, matter of fact, she hit him in the head and Carlos walked away.

Hyde's suspension will be erased shortly once all the t's are crossed and the I's are dotted.

?Thats going to be damn nice.

Are they going to keep the 2 National Championships they found, along with the 2 Big 12 Conference Championships won by Oklahoma & Nebraska?

Probably add a couple, being in the SEC comes with certain privileges.

Yeah, so if Georgia beats them down this year in Atlanta, they'll still put it up as a Conference Championship. ;)

Well, that wont happen, because Bama will be there from the West, but they could claim one from last year for beating us during the regular season. We would be ok with that.

I'd darn near kill (not really, but maybe) to get these games on campus.

The atmosphere would be so much better. Make it a real reward for the teams.

That is the way it should be IMO, a few games should be played on the higher ranked teams home field. Having a game in DC which pretty much means FedEx field kinda sucks, I don't like the stadium as it has too many hard to see from seat area's, so hard they put TV's hanging up in front of you cause you can't see lol.

I wouldn't mind the semifinal games on campus (as you say it would make for a great atmosphere), but I think the Title game should be on a somewhat neutral site

I agree. It will be too bowl like to have neutral sites.
Besides. How many fans can afford back to back trips?
I have many bama friends who turn downed the trip to Miami because of the expense. Most of them could easily afford to go. It will probably be a semi final or final game to choose to go. It's a shame to take it out of most fans hands like this.

That is just it for me... I can only afford 1 maybe 2 away games no matter the location due to getting time off from work and then the expenses of going in general. Now if one of these games were at home field it would certainly benefit all and fill the stadium vs most of them empty no matter what team is playing and where.

I read the other day some where that all the bowl games last year except I think 3 were barely 70% full between them all. You have the NC and perhaps one or two other big BCS games that fill up and that is it. You have many seats that go to locals rather than true fans of each team cause of how much it costs to get a ticket let alone everything else that goes with it.

I spent nearly $400 last year just for our bowl game, that is too much.
