iOS7 Discussion Thread

A feature I use to use seems like it does not work in iOS 7. :(

Before I could use Siri and say "Remind me when I get home to water the plants." and it would set a reminder and alert me when I got home.

I just tried setting a reminder of "Remind me when I get home to charge the satellite meter." and was told by Siri "Your calendar service, which keeps track of reminders, doesn't allow location-based reminders."

No idea why this is not working now. :(

Not in mine.

Got it fixed... needed to turn off syncing reminders with my work exchange account.

Funny it worked fine before and I didn't change my exchange settings since upgrading to iOS 7.

Yep. The battery life seems to be up and down. I have also noticed a few settings that change on thier own. I have had to go into the mail notifications a few times and reset up my iCloud mail notification settings.

iOS 7 is up for download.

Yep, My update is in process right now.

Edit:I maybe should have waiting a couple hours. My download time remaining just switched from 6 minutes to 2 hours. I think it's safe to say their servers are getting slammed right now.

I've been trying out the new iTunes Radio feature this afternoon at work instead of my standard pandora. I like the app itself better because it is just a nice clean feature built into the standard music app. It also seems to play shorter, less intrusive adds and it plays them less often. It's too early to tell which will play a better mix for me but so far I like the selection I'm getting.

Is it possible that my phone updated automatically? I've been running the beta (but not the GM). I just plugged into iTunes and did backups to the cloud and my desktop. When I then checked for the update, it tells my I'm running 7.0 and am up to date. My iPad, running 6.1.3, shows 7.0 being available.

Double clicking the home button will bring up the apps running. Just put your finger on one of them and toss it to the top of the screen.
