Not sure why, other than his age ...
He's never stayed ANYWHERE very long.

Been at Bama a while now. Since 2007, people forget that. Many college coaches don't get that long at a major program.

I see no reason now after all he has done, and what he makes with the control he has, why he would go on elsewhere.

He can't leave yet. There are still a few more national championship rings to collect

Take off your homer glasses...

AJ's leaving, choked the game to Auburn and no SEC title game. Auburn is up, Mizzou is playing great ball. SEC dynamic is changing, Bama's rule is over.

Look at the classes. Yes AJ is leaving but the team is still well stocked to continue to compete for the national championship for several years to come.
I'm not saying they will win it every year obviously. But they will be in the running more often than not and more often than most any other team for the next few years.

To say otherwise is silly. I'd say it's even more likely with the playoff coming.

I dont doubt they will be up there every year, but you cant maintain that, its cyclical. Look where Bama was 10 years ago, and look where they are now. Many teams are making changes and growing, Bama's rule is going to be done for a bit. Did you notice that even with a weaker schedule they played this year, many of their games were just poor? Sure, they won, but there was a lot of poor play, especially during the end. Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with 9-3 and 10-2 every year, id take that, but I think they days of ruling the SEC and winning a NC are over for a bit.

sounds like Saban

Cutcliffe
he's a winner

Well, Saban has that look, but thats not him. I used to think badly of Saban at times until I watched more interviews, then I changed mind. Cutcliffe is complete jerkoff. Sure, he can win, doesnt change the fact he is a poor human being.

Cutcliffe is a whiny, angry old man, not sure why anyone would give him a job...

I'd agree. Cutcliffe should grasp tightly to that Duke job. That's as good as its going to get.

We will agree to disagree then

Im more curious to see if Auburn/Malzahn can maintain, or if they are a one hit wonder.

With the correct players to run his offense it's gonna be hard to stop. He can coach, it will come down to recruiting for him imo

Not to mention Alabamas first national titles with AJ at the helm he was not really that good. The kid has come into his own lately but those national titles were won on defense and 2 nfl starting running backs. AJ was just there and learning. Alabama will not have the fall FLA did because they have a coach who knows how to coach. If saban left then yes id say Bama would be in trouble but Id never bet against Saban.

I do not expect them to fall like UF, but there is a one loss distinction between SEC Title game and playoff situation. I think more parity is coming back to the SEC, when other than the Cam year, it has been Bama, and everone else.
