Did you select Customer Service or New Sales Support? I bet the new sales support could help you and the queue would be shorter.

I started at 74 in queue and after 5 minutes I'm down to 33, so it isn't taking as long as estimated.
I finally got someone to help me on facebook I have always had good luck with them on there. Got an appointment for an install in the morning 8 to 12 for a Hopper with Sling and one Super Joey since we just have 2 tvs..... And I didnt watch these channels much other then HLN and some trutv but not enough to want my bill increased to keep them.

And to top it off they're going to increase package by the end of this month, of course no one is surprised by that at least in this forum, but this sudden removal with no warning ahead of time is.
Scott's gut really let us down. ;)

i bet talks broke down last week after Time Warner announced that HBO would launch a stand alone online service without the need of a cable/satellite provider. since Time Warner owns both HBO/Cinemax and the entire Turner cluster of network. and i would be surprise if this was Dish's way of say, no mas, just like with WWE's PPV being dropped due to WWE going into the business for themselves with the launch of WWE Network. i predict this might become the future of TV, the content providers providing the stations/network they own without the need of Dish or other providers to carry the channels.

Only AEP and couple of Premium Bundles.

Dish gave me $10 off for 3 months plus Showtime, Starz, and Cinemax free for 3 months for taking these channels. However I am really unhappy with the loss of Cartoon Network especially with no prior warning. This was the most watched channel in my house. If this isn't resolved very quickly I will probably be going to Directv in 3 months when my contract is up.

It will be resolved long before that.

Yep I'm currently #127 in the queue lol Gonna discuss what is going on cause yeah Cartoon Network keeps my sanity with my kid so this is gonna cause problems for the short term.

It may be but we are so mad about this one that we may not stay anyway. They had no right to pull the channel with no warning.

Well by contract they don't have to give a warning..we all agreed upon that when we joined them lol I'm just gonna get some free stuff since they are giving it. May as well get some money back from them after all those years they screwed me.

They had no right? They probably had no right to keep the channels up without an extension of the agreement. The fact that there was no lead-in to this dispute lends me to believe this happened suddenly, and that expectations were that the deal was going to get done in time. From CNN's own admission, the digital transfer rights are what is holding it up.

Really? I did it about an hour ago and I was number 17 on the list. I had a rep within a minute and was able to get $5 of for 6 months.

I can understand that you are upset but Dish does reserve the right to change their programming and prices at any time without warning. All subscribers agreed to this when they signed up for Dish. The same would go for DirecTV if you decided to switch to them. DirecTV also reserves the right to change their programming and prices without warning.

TBS and TNT has a few more weeks. These channels were dropped because Turner wanted the two timeframes to be closer together and Dish didn't.

If they dropped TBS then I would be upset. TBS is one of my most watched channels.

They started with that - I'm talking to one now but I've pushed back for the other the $10 for 3 months and those channels for 3 months.
They have transferred me to another account specialist...

I do watch some of the cnn shows, but I guess sooner or later they will
come to an agreement, not really going to get all wrapped up about it.

Now that's not to say I won't politely see if there are any offers out there during this period :)
