Hit the right arrow while watching a show...can scroll channels on banner at bottom of tv.

Thanks but I did that and it didn't work. Still a black screen or TV Activity screen. Hopper and 2 Joeys work fine.

Turn it off for 10 minutes and try again. If that doesn't work leave it off over night and check again in the morning. My SJ is working perfectly

Hit the red button twice on the hopper that it isn't working on and see if it is doing a guide update.

Update: my Joey installed it's new software and is working perfectly. The super Joey will have to do it overnight tonight since its being used now.

My Hoppers can see recordings & PTAT from each other just like before (after updating both Hoppers). So far everything seems OK - thanks Patrick for the heads up, I needed something to play around with today!

I found a serious (to me) flaw(bug) in this new version, The modulated back feed is now showing as stretched letterbox instead of anamorphic widescreen. I sure hope that gets fixed in the release version.

That's the way all Dish receivers show composite now from the 211's all the way to the new UI Hoppers.

I had to get a component to composite converter to fill the screen on the modulated output.
