Has anyone tried recording OTA yet? Can't seem to get it to work.

Yup I record Johnny Carson every night and have no problems.

I just did a channel scan again but this time I hit the select all button before I saved. Now all my OTA channels are in the guide. They're gradually getting the show titles.

I would guess the button that says select.

Me too. I loved Carson as a kid and I never realized how much I missed watching him until Antenna TV started airing his show. Now I watch it almost every night again.

That remote lacks DVD and Aux functions that I use quite a bit.

Not sure, I don't use Favorite Lists.

i tried to do last night when i was creating my favorites list i could not add my over the air channels i tired that select button and it would not work what i am doing wrong.

I cannot save OTA to my favorites list on my Hopper 3, but I can on my 4k Joey.

My bigger problem is the guide will not populate for over the air channels, even the ones that populated with the HWS. I only get one hour of guide data. Is anybody having this problem? It usually populates after one or nightly updates, but I have had it since Sunday and no luck.

Since I have OTA guide data, the only way I am able to record OTA is with a manual record.

in your one of your guide settings you can view your ota channels in the guide.but is seems to me you cannot add them to your favorites list i would like to see this fixed since i get about 35 ota channels from different cites.

I had that issue as well so I did a rescan, saved and voila, could record on OTA. Just wish we could add them to our favorites list.

I'm not in front of my TV, but you should be able to tune to the OTA channel, hit "Options" on the 52 remote (or the Red button on the 40 remote), then select Add to Favorites on the Options screen (I think its in the upper right of the grid of options). It should prompt you to then select which favorites list to add it to.
