Does anyone else have my problem? The new genie takes over my internet and blocks my smart TV automatic connection. I have to unplug my DTV receiver to stream Netflick, Amazon, etc.

The solution is quite simple and requires you to reset the genie internet connection to off and give up the ability to pay per view direct through the genie via internet or go back to the beginning of a show you missed when it was off. Those things I don't need.

I have yet to see this issue and i'm sure theres 1000's of Smart TV's with internet and D* out there.

What recvrs are in play here, and how are they set up ?

No issues here either. Maybe a CEC issue? My new LG was very disruptive to my Harmony remote/hub until I managed to disable its CEC without killing ARC too.

your in the sat guys directv section
there are forums for directv run by att
this issue has been reported there more than once
And there are many others as well.
I dont post at the att one as they want you to make up a whole other account ... user name and such and i already have an att account for phone and D* ... appearantly thats not good enough.

true, but many people that dont use forums go to the official forums to complain

Does the HS-17 still have the 4ft rule if you have your gateway/router 4ft from the HS-17 it could cause wireless interference. I think it has something to do with the wireless channels and if you gateway and the HS-17 have the same wireless channels that they will interfere with each other.
