Hi Everyone - I have been a Directv subscriber for almost 20 years. I live in Canada so of course cannot call Directv or should i say AT&T for support on an odd 771 error. I am only getting the 771 signal loss on satellite In 2, on channel 239 (audience network).

All other 250 channels are fine, and when I check the other receivers in my house, all the same thing just on 239. I have checked my cables, I have checked the B band adapters, my signal strength is sitting at 99%, my slimline dish is aligned correctly, I cannot for the life of me figure this out. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Has anyone seen this before? I know I have not seen this before and I am now stumped on what to do.

I would appreciate any assistance with this. Thanks in advance!

Audience is on 99CA T11. So are the following channels: Nick Jr 301, MTV2 334, HBOE 501, HBOL 511, SHO3 548, EXTR 549, and HLD 564. Check to see if you are getting the 711 error message on those channels. If so it's likely an lnb issue.

OMG your right, I dont have HBO package anymore but just checked 301 and the same 771 error, I was only checking channels I watch regularly. So it does look like a bad LNB, I presume I have to replace the unit? mine has 3 on it.

It's cheap and easy enough if you have access to the dish. Check eBay.
