NFL Network is blocking out the game nationwide.

Interesting, because it was in the guide at one time not that long ago. Well at least I think it confirms FOX didn't and probably couldn't black it out just for DISH customers.

So, I guess this didn't turn out to be true:
(Insert my previous post here- I'm not posting it again. )

Well, that was the way things were until now. Perhaps FOX has an exclusive tonight. Next week's Giants/Patriots game is listed on both FOX and NFLN - for now.

If you live close enough to the local FOX affiliate get an antenna installed so you have a backup for the baseball. And here in Western WA if you have dish like I do pray that both sides will get kissy kissy and make up before KCPQ gets bought up by FOX, as is still anticipated.

Oh, yes. NFLN still has a condensed replay scheduled - at least on my Hopper it says they do - for 4 AM ET tonight and another replay at 3 PM ET tomorrow. So there is that for those with no other option.

FYI, The Locast app is working out pretty well playing directly from my SHIELD TV. I had to initially submit a ticket to get them to allow me to see my DMA. It took them about 3 days to respond to the ticket, and then it was fixed quickly along with an email explaining it was done. (In that email, the gentleman encouraged me to reply to the email if I had future problems.) However, I don't have a fixed IP address, so my modem rebooted last night, and when my IP address didn't point to my ZIP location, Locast stopped working again. I replied to the initial email and received a pretty quick reply. He told me since I don't have a fixed IP that will happen every time, but that I all I needed to do was keep replying to that email with my new IPv4 (found at whatismyip(dot)com), and they would fix it quickly each time instead of waiting in a queue. He told me NOT to submit a ticket each time.

It's not a perfect solution. The picture quality isn't as good as OTA. As long as my modem doesn't reboot, Locast seems to be pretty stable.

You might want to look into a static IP. It's not very expensive. For instance, it's only $10 a month with my ISP (Consolidated).

NFL Network now won't simulcast Thursday Night Football over Fox-Dish dispute
When Dish pulled down the Fox channels (owned-and-operated Fox broadcast affiliates, FS1, BTN and FS2) on Sept. 26, one of the affected sports properties was Fox’s Thursday Night Football NFL games, but there were some potential workarounds for affected Dish and Sling TV subscribers. The Fox Thursday night games are usually also simulcast on NFL Network, which Dish and Sling both carry, and last week’s game (Eagles-Packers, which took place only hours after those channels were dropped) was viewable there. But now, no one (even those who don’t have Dish or Sling) will be able to watch this Thursday’s Rams-Seahawks game on NFL Network. The Rams tweeted Thursday that NFLN now won’t be showing the game:

I considered it, but I've never had a need for it before, so as it is, the only reason I'd need it is for Locast. As it is, I'm paying Locast $5.50 per month. I'm not paying more while these asshats duke it out. My hope is that this doesn't go on for much longer. Otherwise, if I invest any more money in this, it will be to buy another antenna. The installation is the pain, though.

Holy crap. I just saw one of those Fox "Dish took it" commercials for the first time. What a bunch of disingenuous simplistic crap. I don't know if the bold-faced lying is more annoying or the fact that they assume I, as someone watching football on their network, am certainly so stupid that I will swallow whatever line of Bullsh!t they spoon feed me.

Corporate slugs leaving their slime trail right in my living room piss me off. They really think we are as critically savvy as toddlers.

Faux has propoganda down to an art form.

Apparently it's not just Dish customers. Looking at the NFL Network on fuboTV also shows the alternate programming. Looks like they removed the game from NFLN period (just to spite Dish customers?).

Or, probably tried, then found out they couldn't, so they threw the baby out with the bath water.

You guys were right. According to this link that was posted above that's just what they did, threw out the baby with the bath water just to spite DISH.
