Shoot. I was hoping it would be a 5ghz dongle. Looks like it's just a 2.4.

One of these came with my GT Media V7S5X. That's how I connect my receiver to wifi on 2.4 GHz. It works fine.

It doesn't work here. Crowded neighborhood with everybody using the 2.4 band. It has to be 5 ghz or hard wired here, otherwise you get no speed.

I do fancy stuff like connecting my ethernet port to a router set up as a WDS Station that connects to a WDS AP router in another part of the house. A bit more expensive and time consuming to set up but I don't need to run ethernet cabling throughout the house. And it's setup on 5 GHz. It works great.

I ordered a 5ghz WIFI extender from Amazon. Hopefully that will do the trick.
