Rest NTSC mode on Octagon SF 8008

Not that I know of. This has happened before and I have received instructions from other sources on how to correct it with no problems. But for some reason it's not working this time. I only use the 8008 for storing sports feeds so I guess I will have to go back to using the Linkbox 9000 for that.

What image is it running? Should have a Webif.

IF it's on your network, bring up a browser, and type in the IP address for the receiver, and hit enter. See what happens. Like mine is 192.168.1.15

Worse gets to worse, just start hitting different buttons on the remote, and see if it comes back.

Or ask at Rick's, I think he sells those?

I hit the wrong button on the remote in the menu and changed the NTSC mode. If anyone knows of way to reset this receiver please let me know. Thanks.
If you are using the linuxos Define software try this.
Turn on and press exit on the remote a few times to make sure you are out the menu screens.
Press menu on the remote once.
Press Fav on the remote once.
Press down arrow on remote once.
Press ok button twice.
Use the up or down buttons after each press of the up or down press ok .
That cycles the resolutions. Maybe you will get lucky and get a picture on a mode.
If not to get to recovery mode Press exit a few times then press menu, press Fav, press ok.
press down arrow four times then press ok. should reboot into recovery where you could reinstall the OS.
Or there is a tiny button on the back for recovery mode. power off and hold recovery button
and power back on while continuing to hold the recovery button until you see UPGR on the front panel then release the recovery button and it will boot up in recovery mode.
Good luck.

I tried the above section, the Octagon logo screen came on and the the front showed the channel numbers, that was all.

I tried this 4 times holding the recovery button for approximately 30 to 45 seconds. Nothing came up on the front panel nor did it reboot.

Thanks for your effort, ai appreciate it.

Seems to me if you can see the octagon logo screen and a channel number on the display then it doesn't sound like the software is working properly. You will have to get in the recovery mode and boot into another multiboot slot or download and reinstall.
Can't just hold the recovery button. You got to flip the power switch off then hold the recovery button while flipping the power switch back on and wait for the display to show UPDT then release the recover button and wait for the recovery screen on the TV.
