First off, HOORAH! Second I have to say that Comedy (currently Southpark and even shows during commercials) has some strange little black pixels (they appear like | ) all over the place. Hope they get the bugs fixed, otherwise it looks decent.

wow now that is a MAJOR FAIL! 480 x 480 @ 4034 KB/s... which includes the MPEG Audio stream, that is POOP. No wonder most of the SD channels look terrible, soft/murky and blocky. How can they even begin to think what they are broadcasting is acceptable. I wish FiOS had a better DVR I'd jump...

How about.... Dish Interactive Receivers with the ability to REMOTE SCHEDULE? I remember testing it MOONS ago for them, the website when up (too early) and then shut down the registration part and still has that fantastic "coming soon" banner for the remote scheduling... better wake up and...

Did you read my reply above? You are VERY INCORRECT. I've verified it WILL pass multichannel over HDMI and out to optical. My reciever displays what the incoming codec is, Dolby Digital, WMA 9 PRO, DTS OR if it's 2 channel it will display Stereo, Pro Logic or NEO. I've used Home Theater...

No your post didn't go over my head... regardless of how good a TV's scaler is and other excuses being offered, there still remains the problem of this episode of The Beast which is being offered in 1080p but not working as advertised, which is why I post my comment in the first place.

I'll continue to worry since I have proper equipment, DISH needs to test this crap before they make a big deal of it in a Press Release... I would call and talk to tech support but I know they'd be clueless and not know how to properly take / cascade a bug report. I've said this many times...

So far this has been a HUGE FAIL by Dish. I have a 722 and a Sony LCD which can playback 1080 24p no problem. I've done it with Bluray and Via the 501 PPV. When you select to download "The Beast" immediately you get a dialogue box stating that your TV may not be compatible so it asks to rent...

That's a bummer, but I hope they do sell their library of unique stuff to other networks or push as much into their Non Voom channels as possible. RAVE was a great channel, MHD has a lot to learn / pick up to match them. RE: Jumping to FiOS... it's an AMAZING service for Internet and the PQ on...
