i'm not at home to look at my 622 menu right now... but you mentioned locking out the duplicates. did you just go through manually and do that...wherever it is that you can set up a custom channel guide...or is there some straight-forward "lock out the duplicates" menu? :) i want to do...

so has anyone in the central/eastern part of kentucky been able to get the distant networks? i tried early on, but was told i did not qualify. i thought it was going to be based on whether you could pick up your locals via antenna, but i guess i was based on if you have locals already...

well, 8-1 came and went with no HD for Lexington. until I saw this post, I hadn't thought that they were being advertised to debut then, but I still got my hopes up a little. I haven't actually seen Lexington even MENTIONED when Dish talks about the local HD channels they plan to light up...

it just cracks me up how folks pounce on a thread when it doesn't jive with their feelings on how things should be done on a message board... was the information posted in another thread already? sure...but why jump on this guy's case over posting information that HE found useful and others...

i may do a little tree trimming this evening...see if that helps. that would definitely be easier than getting up on the roof and fidgeting around with things. :)

i haven't gone out and made the adjustments yet. was starting to sort of think that maybe it was a tree out in the front yard causing some of the problems...it has only gotten fully covered in leaves over the past 2-3 weeks....about the same time my issues started. i went out and looked last...

sounds fun. :) so the azimuth and elevation...those are given to me by the dish, in the setup menu, is that correct? i may try to fix it myself. i noticed today that all of those 129 channels come in fine during the morning hours, but by this evening, they are not tuning in again.

yep...i had checked signal strength, and most of the 129 transponders were very low. we've had some pretty rough winds the past couple of weeks, so maybe that has moved my dish out of alignment. i just wanted to check and see if anyone else was having trouble, or if i was going to have to...

This has been going on for me over the past week or so, that when we are watching certain HD channels, the signal starts to degrade and break up...very similar to what it acts like when a strong storm is approaching. Often, the channel will completely go away and the "searching for signal"...
