    Switching to Comcast--better deal

rnesky--not sure what your problem is. Educate yourself before making statements. As David Dietzel states, some are considered analog. Those are the same channels that do not need a digital box to watch on a tv. It's the same channels that you get when only ordering Comcast broadand. Even...

    Switching to Comcast--better deal

I have been a loyal Dish Customer for 5 years. I've referred 4 poeple who have become Dish Subs. During that time, I've purchased 5 receivers. However when it came time for me to get MP4 technology and/or HD DVR---I had to shell out some serious $ for a production I wouldn't own and I had to...

Some details on the 622 from the Tech Portal

Am I correct in assuming you only receive 1 UHF remote. In other words...the room the 622 is sitting in, you must have a clear shot of the 622 to control it. No behind cabinet doors? That stinks. My 6000, 811 & 4900 all had uhf remotes. In Dish's recent facts blast they talk about current...

Now that NBR (for the 5xx series) is settled..how about more HD!

Unfortunately many are missing my point of the thread. It wasn't NBR. It was stemming from Scott's statement that SatelliteGuys made an influence to add NBR. Can we ude that same influence to effect programming...specifically more HD.

A plea to Dish Network execs.....

I'm a $110/month and are willing to switch to DTV if they add on Starz, ESPN2HD and others before dish. Or voom if they up their SD channels.

Now that NBR (for the 5xx series) is settled..how about more HD!

It has been stated that SatelliteGuys influenced Dish to include NBR on some of the DVRs. Then let's push even harder for more HD! Starz, Cinemax, The Movie Channel, Universal and Espn2 I think should be no brainers. Comcast includes the 1st 2, DirectV the last 2.....Dish None! What do we...

    Will you buy a 942?

Is it just me or are we waiting for a reason to leave Dish? If Dish offers the 942 on a lease program--...I'd for sure stay with them. If they added more HD--that would be a great incentive too. Personally I like the programming---I just don't like the lack on HD that's available and that...

    ESPN2HD? C'mon Dish!

DirecTV has ESPN2HD? I read on DBSTalk.com that ESPN2HD launches today. Hello Dish....FOX, NBC, ABC, Universal & ESPN2HD. They're giving a heck of a lot more HD for nearly the same price. They can't get their 921 working right. Prices are soon to be comparable to DTV. Time's a ticking...

What Equipment will I need to change to new 44 Switch?

Thanks Simple Simon...but isn't BobaBird still correct since the DP44 can handle for satellites. Actually--I was going to get a DPQuad for 500 (119 & 10) twin for 61.5 and feed 2 leades from quad and 1 from twin into DP34. That will still give me four out of the switch and I only need 4 61.5's...

What Equipment will I need to change to new 44 Switch?

I currently have a Dish 500 system with the old style LNB's and a 61.5 dish with 1 lnb (old style) as well. I am using a 6000, 811, 4900 & 301. Considering adding a 921. My question is 2 fold: 1. If I just want to add the ability to have more receivers can I daisy chain another sw switch...

    DVD Recorder's

I have 6000 & RDRGX300 The sony remote can change 6000's channels and even be timered to do so. The picture running s-video through the sony is much better than my prior philips recorder. word of note---sony is finicky on formating DVD+RW's that are not new.

Chicago Dish Customers: Are you getting billed for Multi Sport

I am a AEP subscriber....so in theory I pay for FSN as well. Why give lesser paying customers credit and not $110+ /month account the same courtesy?

Chicago Dish Customers: Are you getting billed for Multi Sport

I thought we are supposed to get multi-sport free until Comcast Sports launces in 4/06? I received my bill with a$5.99 charge.
