Unfortunately many are missing my point of the thread. It wasn't NBR. It was stemming from Scott's statement that SatelliteGuys made an influence to add NBR. Can we ude that same influence to effect programming...specifically more HD.

I'm a $110/month and are willing to switch to DTV if they add on Starz, ESPN2HD and others before dish. Or voom if they up their SD channels.

I have 6000 & RDRGX300 The sony remote can change 6000's channels and even be timered to do so. The picture running s-video through the sony is much better than my prior philips recorder. word of note---sony is finicky on formating DVD+RW's that are not new.

I am trying get to someone set up with Dish. They are going to activate an old receiver that was given to them. They are currently using directv with 1 lnb. I have a spare dish pro dual lnb...but not sure if it will work with directv dish and/or legacy 4900 receiver. Will directv dish...
