I just had Dish installed the other day. Nice picture, lots of bells and whistles. But my internet from Spectrum is almost non-existent. So I went outside to have a look. I have feed from satellite coming in and a coax for the Hopper 3 leaving the Solo Hub. But that coax doesn't go to my Spectrum modem. The coax that goes to the modem is stuffed back into the cable box. Am I missing something here? Can I hook up the coax for the modem to one of the client outputs? Not sure how else I would get a signal to my modem.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Spectrum internet coax is supposed to be connected to cable internet modem & then to router, has nothing to do with your Dish installation.
Hopper is connected to the internet through router, using normal wifi or ethernet cable.

If I read you right, you still have an unencumbered coax to your modem. If so, just look for the cable coming from the cable
company and use a standard barrel connector to connect to the one going to your modem.

Don't involve in the dish installation.

I don't think that will work to connect an coax cable to an spectrum cable modem because that coax cable goes to the client port on the hybrid solo hub.

You need separate wires for the Hopper and the cable modem. They can't share the same wire. DId you tell the DISH tech that you had a cable modem?

It looks like the DISH guy might have used the cable modem wire for the Hopper so you're going to need another wire to the cable modem. We usually have the opposite happen, the cable guy uses the DISH wire. :)
