AZBOX strange issue with Elite

I'll see if that helps. Since it's an old STB there's no telling how much longer it'll last. That's why I should focus on connecting it to my HDMI capture card and stream from there so that when the time comes I would just have to connect the new STB to the HDMI capture card and keep on truckin'. I'm wondering if there's an Enigma image still available for the Elite and I wonder if this Enigma 2 remote control app on my smartphone would be able to control it.

Yes, the HDMI capture card certainly sounds a better way to go. I'm not sure whether (or where) any Enigma images are still available, since none of the various images had blind scan (don't even know if one eventually did) then it would have been too big of a step backwards for me with my Ultra. Basically, I could see no reason to lose major functions just to "pretty it up", plus I am happy with the 5402 software. So I never really followed any images that came out.

How can I tell what firmware I have installed on the Elite? It says my firmware version is 0.9.3281 TD210. Nothing like the 53xx or 54xx mentioned in this thread. Is my firmware that old?

Yes, it is fairly old, there use to be a site which detailed the firmware updates, but it is gone. There is this page:
Index of /Azbox/OF
which does show some of the firmware releases, but it is missing some I remember.

With you old firmware, if I remember correctly, if you update to a new version, you would lose you channel list (as there was a release where things changed substantially in the format) but can't recall what version that was.

Also, don't remember a TD210 after a version number, but do recall (vaguely!) that there were some working on enhancements to official versions (additional plugins) which did have something additional like that.

The 53xx or 54xx versions show as 0.9.5xxx, as all versions had the 0.9. prefix.

I have copies of several firmware. That last one was 5402 and I have a copy.

I learned one thing in life over the years - if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. When is saw firmware updates I downloaded them but didn’t install them. I have 3877, 5020, 5209, 5308 and 5402. I’m guessing the last one is best to use and I can delete the rest from my computer, right? Now I just have to read the install instructions and hopefully the streaming function can be set up to work. Thanks for all your responses.
