Satellite and Transponder for ESPN, ESPNews, ESPN2

Thank you very much! This will be so helpful if I have anymore problems. I've been flipping through and at this point I am getting everything I should get. No searching for signal issues at all. That small tweak to the dish did the trick.

Satellite and Transponder for ESPN, ESPNews, ESPN2

I have an HR22 and HR24. Still the old school stuff. I don't want them charging me even more than they already do for the new equipment. Not having the beeps would have sucked because I would have had to run back and forth. I did get improvement. In fact I was getting the channels I wanted to...

Satellite and Transponder for ESPN, ESPNews, ESPN2

That's exactly what I did when I couldn't get the channels. I had the volume cranked up and listened through the screen on the storm door to hear that beeping get louder.

Satellite and Transponder for ESPN, ESPNews, ESPN2

The numbers I quoted were for Satellite 101 Transponder 1. Like I said, I moved the dish before checking this forum for replies so I don't know what 99CA T14 was but, now it's 74

Satellite and Transponder for ESPN, ESPNews, ESPN2

Mr. Tony, I am most grateful. A clear concise answer to the question. I can't imagine calling directv and enduring the nightmare of trying to ask customer service this question. I came home from work tonight to turn on the world series. Obviously on Fox and I couldn't get a signal on that...

Satellite and Transponder for ESPN, ESPNews, ESPN2

I am having an issue with signal on these 3 channels. 206,207, 209 This is a SWM setup. I check the strength meter for tuner 1 and 2 and they are squawking 94 and 95. I need to know what satellite and what transponder these are on so that I can peak the dish on those spots. Thanks for any...

    They finally fixed DoublePlay!

I hate how it usually decides I need to switch to some goofy channel like 201 that I am not even watching. It isn't fixed for me. I use an HR 22 and HR 24's. No Genie

You're a hearty soul to be working on your dish at 4 am.

pics of the dish farm...post yours too :)

Spoken like a true FTA'er Jeff. You must be using high quality switches with that array. I can't imagine cheap little Diseqc switches not giving you problems.

    New dish mover recommendations

Resolution wouldn't be critical to see that stuff. I suppose a regular coax connection would do fine. I'm just thinking if you need to look at that screen, people aren't going to want to have to keep getting close to it. It looks pretty small.

    New dish mover recommendations

Wow, I must say, that does look pretty cool. I didn't see anything saying you could see the lcd window on your tv screen. What happens when you want to move to a satellite you have no channels stored on? Do you have to get down and look at that tiny little screen? Also, what happens if you...

    New dish mover recommendations

Guys, my second Uniden Supra looks like it's motor outputs have died. I'd love to find another as I have used this receiver for so long, I can run it blindfolded. That might be hard though. There is one on ebay but, all it says it that it powers up. My other two Supras power up. That does not...

    C band motor output question

Hey Fat air, thanks for the detailed response. I thought that is how it was supposed to be but, I wanted confirmation. I do have an analog meter as well as my digital. Could you elaborate on exactly how to simulate pulses with a piece of wire? I'm thinking you mean jumper across at the...

    C band motor output question

Guys, I have a uniden supra. I recently got an actuator error. I unhooked the dish and took my multimeter and measured the output voltage while holding down the respective east or west buttons. It goes to about 35.2 volts for a second then drops out. Is this the way it's supposed to operate...

    Actuator help

prime, I had someone tell me that a ballscrew was susceptible to peening when static resulting in shorter life. It certainly doesn't seem like you had that experience. That first one looks pretty good to me.

    Actuator help

Hey guys, I need a new actuator. My old 24" inch superjack finally gave out. I have a 10 ft. mesh C and KU dish. It's not heavy. I use a Uniden Supra as the dish mover. I'd like some advice as to what Actuator I should go with and why? My main concerns are accuracy and durability. For...

Have Ku - Is C-Band Worth The Effort?

You will love C band. As some others have said, the bigger the better. At least 10 foot will yield the most fun. Yes they can be taken apart for easier transport. The mesh ones come apart in 4 sections. Be careful not to bend them. You don't want your dish warped. I bet you can find a free or...

    RG-6 CABLE TROUBLESHOOTING

A splitter would definitely cause the problem. I understood the OP to say it was run for satellite shortly before the renovation.
  24. boomer_106

    RG-6 CABLE TROUBLESHOOTING

You could take a piece of wire(like cheap speaker wire or whatever you have laying around) as long as it's long enough to reach each end of the cable you want to test. Attach it to the RG6 at one end and run a continuity test. Any simple multimeter will suffice.
