    What we are hearing...

    Download speeds are around 1meg which is much faster than dial up. The upload speeds however are sometimes slower than dial up & very frustrating if sending files. I was grateful when cable came out to the country!

    Not HD here. If they are low quality like you say, you can probably bet they are just stretched SD signals.

    Same here in Wisconsin, all high 90's except for 1-3 @ 0. I think I should just keep my HR20 unplugged as it will probably start to overheat the dish with all these extra satellite signals coming in! :D

    I just got my new HR20-100S installed last week & I love it. I had the HR10 & I like the HR20 better. My HR20 does not lock up every other day like the HR10 thus I no longer have to reprogram the 30 sec. skip every time, the HR20's button never needs programming! :up

    Satellite internet will work fine for downloads, you get around 1 meg speed. It is the upload speeds that will hurt you. If you want to send large email files it will be almost like dial up speed but downloads can be quite acceptable. I had this service until cable came to the woods, it...

    My component outputs failed on my H10 last week. They replaced it with a refirb. H20 unit & switched it to a lease. This doesn't bother me as I was being charged for a second receiver anyways so it was a wash. Now if they try to charge me a lease fee when they replace my HR10-250 that...
