Possible old news, but couldn't find any mention of it in the forums. Don't know if we should read anything into this, but HDNEWS is showing some footage of the Tour de France and it has the INHD logo (complete with "only on cable") in the bottom left corner. I would think that VOOM had to...

As for new HD channels, I'm expecting more originals like the EquatorHD we're about to get rather than INHD or HDNET. As long as they add more content with appropriate sound and picture quality, I'd be happy. I don't really care what specific channels they are.

chidancer, I'm with you on road runner! One of my favorites. Remember when they used to show them at the movie theatres before the feature back in the 60's? That was one of the things I loved about going to the movies as a kid.

You haven't seen him? It's an annoying face in the lower left of the screen with a caption that says "VOOM Guide Guy Says..." followed by a program notice. I've seen it on Rush and maybe another channel or two. Very distracting if you're watching something of interest.

Is it just me or is that the most annoying thing you've ever seen on your screen. Whoever came up with that idea should be flogged!

How about letting us display the MOOV video with a music channel audio? Give us the choice for the audio track from VOOM's available music channels (800's). That would be cool.

My sights will always be set on seeing all television programming in HD. The HD channels are going to just trickle in during this analog to digital transition. It's always going to seem like we don't have enough until we have it all. Even then, people will bitch and moan about something else...

If VOOM does not have any new channels to broadcast (which we have to assume is the case, but we'll never know for sure), then combining is a moot point. There's no sense in sitting here fussing over it with empty slots available. Besides, they're never going to lower the number of exclusive HD...

I agree on the picture quality. Looked like it's going to be a well done bit of programming. I was kind of excited to see it and was fumbling for the remote to crank up the volume. I probably missed a few seconds of it because of that. What was your take on the context of the programming...

New channel I looked on the VOOM web site, but no mention of it anywhere.

New HD Channel... It's a new exclusive channel. The promo showed some footage of what looked like an African tribe.

Just saw a promo for a new VOOM exclusive. It's called EquatorHD and will premier on June 15th. Don't know if this is old news or not, but it's the first I've heard of it. Hard to tell what exactly the content will be from the promo. Looks a bit "Discovery-ish". Did anyone else see it?
