I suppose my point is compatibility. Any changes in equipment required? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Standard or HD?

I know. I was really sad when Equity left.

    Standard or HD?

I've been out of FTA for several years. Last time I was able to spend serious time in FTA was in 123 had all the active transponders with all the old TV shows. I no longer have a motor but I do have a 31" dish and an SD receiver. I would probably stick with 97 and not move from there for now...

    Outdoor poe switch

You might have better luck searching for a weatherproof outdoor plastic control box similar to what phone and cable companies use and mount a traditional PoE switch inside. Something like this: Orbit 57095 Sprinkler System Weather-Resistant Outdoor-Mounted Controller Timer Box Cover Sent...

    before cold weather hits

I was about to ask why a PC was being used outside next to the dish! [emoji851] Now I see it’s only the case. Very good idea and re-use of outdated hardware!

    How much is left?

I have a 31" and an analog receiver. My old motor died and the original receiver took a bath then a pipe burst. So you are watching PBS on 125 and doing the music on 103? Our OTA PBS has 4 feeds so I'm not sure that would give me anything extra. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    How much is left?

I first got into FTA probably around 2008 give or take. My first experience was with a motor and it was so exciting to swing from bird to bird and scan for all sorts of feeds. 123-W was full of channels and you could spend forever just there. A recent look at Lyngsat looks so bare. It...

    My antenna's stock.

I'm curious, I'm not sure where Riga is located but you are talking about a 30 inch dish (75cm) right? Where I am, Ku requires at least 39 inches which is closer to 100cm before we can receive Ku signals. Thanks in advance.

I would think a tiny dish like that would only pick up the strongest of signals, huh? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    KU V-SAT Dish?

Yes, the photo looks quite a bit like these wide reflectors here....

Love your dishes. Wish I could have ones like that......I'll have to just dream for now....

    T90 Toroidal Dish

This is a dish I've had my eye on. I just made contact with who I believe owns the building and I am waiting to hear back. I'm not even sure if it's worth it or not. I've attached the best photo I can get from here. I assume this was a data link dish. Can anyone tell? Thanks.

    T90 Toroidal Dish

Yes, but, figuring out who to ask would be a problem, as well as getting a larger one off a building. I think most owner's wouldn't let an amateur take a dish down. They would probably be concerned with damage and liabilities. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    T90 Toroidal Dish

Thanks. I thought I had found one for a good price, but, it was a T55.....that would be no good at all for FTA....

    T90 Toroidal Dish

I do not suppose anyone has seen one of these available in this country lately? There is one on E-Bay for $140 but it's $80 shipping. I've seen them listed in other countries, but, then again, there is shipping. Maybe $220 was the price point from before and I just forgot. Maybe a motor...

    KU V-SAT Dish?

Ahh, nice. This dish is still on the roof of this vacant building. I'll have to watch very closely to see what happens. Maybe I'll be able to snag it someday if they every get rid of it.

I'd really like to find an old Primestar dish, but, I have not seen anything like that around here in years.

    KU V-SAT Dish?

I've observed these wide rectangular dishes on top of businesses. They are no where near round, definitely very wide. What types of services are these dishes usually used for? Seems like there would be an especially narrow margin in aiming these.

Dishes in lanai room, Florida condo

Just a question: In the first two photos, the octagon dish, and LNB look pretty far apart. Is that actually a working configuration? Or, are they not so far apart as they look?

    My antenna's stock.

I was halfway through the process of buying a T90, then had to wait awhile, and the dish became unavailable. So, I have all the LNB's, DiSEqC switches and Multiswitches, etc, but, no dish. :( I suppose it's still possible, of course when I wanted to build one, all the Equity channels were still...

    Dish elevation

Yes, I had to fiddle for sure. Another thing that surprised me so much was the skew. I had it set at what I thought would be the right amount. The best I could peak the dish was about 31%. I thought the bucket mount was just unstable. Then I twisted the LNB back toward center and the quality...

    Dish elevation

So, I found the *real* 97W tonight. Put a NIB linear LNB on there. I did have to play with the elevation and azimuth of course. I also know for sure the elevation scale on the side of the dish is totally useless. The elevation setting is at least 5 degrees off the 44.6 given by...
