Have you bypassed the switch and the motor, i.e. connected a single LNB "L" output directly to the receiver? Have you tried the other "L" output from the LNB? Make sure you turn off or unplug the receiver when connecting or disconnecting cabling. What sats are you aiming at?

I don't have a SonicView, but my Fortec has an option for LNB Power that lets you select 13 volts, 18 volts, or 13/18 Volts. In order to allow the LNB to switch between V and H, the selection must be 13/18. Each different voltage selects a single polarity. Do you have such an option at the...

I did skew the cylindrical LNB to +12 (based on my location) and was only looking at a V TP. I'll try again another day, since the weather caught up with me; we are finally getting some much needed rain. I'm keeping my eyes open for a round one, but I wouldn't pass up another elliptical :)

Which specific channel are you asking about? I'm on 119W and listening to Rock Show. MUZK2 and others show FTA. I thought FMONE was FTA a few weeks ago, but isn't now. The channels listed as Music-XXXXXXX are showing as scrambled.

I'm still playing with the blind scan. I'm not convinced it actually does a blind scan. I tried AMC2/16 (85W) and it races through VERY fast and finds nothing. If I manually scan the TP with the Dish Network Test Card, it finds the channel. On AMC1 it consistently takes 8 minutes and finds...

When I spoke to the tech and specifically asked if there was updated firmware that might fix the problem, he responded that the April bin was the latest factory firmware.

kbghdg, I have not experienced any hangs at boot time either before or after the firmware change.
