I have always cleaned screens with normal glass cleaner. DO NOT SPRAY ON SCREEN. Spray some on a cotton cloth not synthetic so it is damp. As long as no cleaner drips off of the rag you should have no problems. If in doubt, ask a local tv repair shop what they use.

Getting true black on a LCD set is inherantly hard to do. This is by design. A LCD panel cannot block all of the light from the lamp. Most sets have a setting to help create a black image. If that setting is at max then try to turn down the brightness a little bit.
