Any new news on software version P2.82? Still has not gone widespread. Any ideas why?

2.82 won't be widespread. Big nasty bugs. 2.83 is due out soon, supposedly.

Do a search and you will see the details. Basically 2.82 introduced a auto reboot feature when changing and OTA channel. Does not effect all users, but it does effect a lot in varying degrees. You can see details and opinions in the 811 forum.

I think I have p282 and I just got my 811 yesterday. I check the sys info and it reads p282land-n. Is this the same p2.82 that everyone else is talking about and if so, why did I get it if p2.82 was cancelled

Because the receiver you got has part of the 1st spooled group that did get the update.
