2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs

You know, whenever I tune-in to a hockey game on NBC I get the feeling I am being prepared for a tennis match. I love tennis, but please don't mix tennis with my hockey. My assessment of the NBC coverage: the camera work is shabby, the play-by-play guys are shoddy, and the analysts Pierre McGuire and Mike Milbury are sucky.

Unless Carolina or Chicago pull off a miracle, we're likely going to get a Pittsburgh/Detroit rematch.

Anyone remember the last time any of the four major leagues had two teams play for the championship in back-to-back years?

Unfortunately, for most of us, there is no playoff hockey tomorrow.

(Very ironic, for there have been Stanley Cup Finals games that took place on Memorial Day)

IMO it's all ratings, they probably think most people will be with their families instead of sitting in front of their T.V.s watching the game.
