Wildcats open next Friday against East Tennessee State who they eliminated last year in the tournament for their first win.

...don't you mean for their <vacated> ?

How's it going to feel going through the 2,000 win celebration again...and again....and again? :)

Watchable game tonight:

7:00 PM Rhode Island - Pittsburgh ESPN U

And so it begins...enjoy!
URI is hanging in there at the Oakland Zoo. The Rams are ahead of the #4 Panthers 41-39, early in the second half.

In some not so surprising news

Kentucky center Enes Kanter has been ruled ineligible - ESPN

of course I'm sure Calipari had no knowledge of it;)

Ramy, almost everywhere where Calipari has been, there was a problem with the program either WHILE he was there or just after he left. Where there is smoke....there is fire...

The Hawaii game ended up being real good but I remembered why college basketball irks the hell out of me (and why FTA is a godsend)

so I wake up around 2:45 (cant sleep) and figured "hey the Hawaii game is on at 3" so I scan on the free to air system to find the feed (no commercials and no scrolling bar at the bottom) :) Anyways cant find it :( so I have to stick with ESPN.

So its 3:00 and the St Mary's/St Johns game is on...2 minutes left. At 3:04 there is 1:01 on the clock and St Johns is down by 8. The game didnt get over until 3:24
Does it really take 20 minutes to play 1 minute of time? Well I guess in CBB it does.
With teams taking time outs for no reason, constant substitutions and fouling every time again FOR NO REASON. Why foul with 5 seconds left when you're down by 8? Even better why does St Marys take a time out with 20 seconds left when they were up by 10?

At least ESPN put the "turn to ESPNU" to watch the game which worked out since by the time the St Mary's/St Johns game got over, Hawaii game was 1/2 way through 1st half.

Watchable games tonight:

7:00 PM Vermont-Connecticut Sportsnet NY, ESPN Full Court
9:00 PM Utah State-BYU The Mountain (go cuz!)

Enjoy!
