2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Both the Penguins and Flyers are now one win away from advancing to the next round................

The way things are going it may be a repeat of 3 years ago when seeds 5-8 all won their first round series.

This postseason is going to be my demise.

These overtime games well after midnight are screwing with my rather limited mental faculties!

In this Sharks/Avs series, I feel every game like I'm about to have a heart attack.

This series is exhilirating, heartrending stuff.

Philly and Pittsburgh both pulled-away for 3-goal wins this evening. Nashville is giving Chicago a battle and are leading 2-1 midway through the 2nd period. Nashville is the one team I didn't want the Wings to face] in the 1st round...they always play us tough.

I agree, Nashville is NOT who I would want next ..... they are always a tough team to play.

btw, that would be the 2nd round !

Glad the wings got the win and Kudos to Jimmy Howard, I guess for one day all is not gloom and doom :) I am on sebatcal from local sports talk radio as during the playoffs they have every lost as the season is over.

Provided the Wings win the series, is the winner of the Chi vs Nash series next ?
Or someone else ?

The NHL re-seeds for the second round. Highest remaining seed in the West will play the lowest, and #2 plays #3.

In the NHL, they re-seed after the first round.

IF San Jose wins their series, the Sharks would play the lowest seeded team remaining. OTOH, if Colorado beats SJ, the Avs would play the highest remaining seed. The other two remaining teams would play each other.

Wednesday's Playoff Schedule

Washington at Montreal- 7:00pm ET/4:00pm PT (Caps lead series, 2-1)

Buffalo at Boston- 7:00pm ET/4:00pm PT (Bruins lead series, 2-1) Versus/Versus-HD

Vancouver at Los Angeles- 10:00pm ET/7:00pm PT (Kings lead series, 2-1) Versus/Versus-HD

So WHO does Detroit get if they win ?
