I just hope the Tigers have their way with SF then they come to town over the 4th of July holiday weekend.

I did. Also said I wouldn't turn my back, just thought this year was done. Their defensive and bullpen play was so uncharacteristically bad. I'm glad to admit my pronouncement of death may have been premeture.

If a pitcher gives up eight earned runs (on nine hits) in 1/3 of an inning, his ERA for that outing is 216!

But I've accepted your declaration of death (aka "your Kevorkian")...now tell the Twins to knock-it-off. :p

Nice to get back in the winning column. This West Coast trip has not been a good one so far.

Unfortunately the Indians pull one out tonight as well ...4-3

I try not to worry about what everyone else is doing...although I noticed the red-hot Twins lost. We just need to keep winning. Hmmm. I wonder if go with a Cokeless 4 pitcher rotation...

day game today :)

That reminds me...I just noticed the Nationals are playing a day game this afternoon. They play right next door (5-block walk) to where I spend most of my time working these days. I didn't know they were playing this afternoon (always a traffic concern) so I don't have any choice company box seat tickets, but I've never had a problem getting a $5 grandstand walk-in ticket. Of course, that was before they won 9 of their last 10 games. Anyway, I'm just going to wander over there about the 4th inning. Wish me luck. :)

P.S. Gotta love baseball in the turn of the 20th Century when all the city folks worked downtown and the ballpark was merely a short trolley car ride away.
