I just recently signed up for DirecTV and there is a $25 charge to my bank account from DirecTV. The charge shows up exactly one day after I ordered online.

I checked my online account at D* and there is no mention of the charge anywhere on my account.

Anyone know why I was charged $25?

Probably it's a charge to verify that your credit card account is valid. That amount will most likely be credited toward your first billing cycle.

JDspencer is right.

It to check the card it is a hold and not a charge it should be back in yoru account with in 72 business hours . credit cards you almost never see the hold debit cards will take the 25 dollars out and put it back afte the 72 hour period.

Yes, Stonecold is 100% on on this one. Its the Authorization hold, released by D* 72 hours after activation. May take some time for your bank to fully release it though.
