I live on a farm and have Directv in my house. I have a barn next door that I also own but is considered a different address. I'm wanting to add service to the barn, since that's where I am most of the time, but Directv told me I'd have to add a new account to get service there since the barn is over 150ft away from the satellite. I asked if I could add it as a "vacation home" and the rep said that normally you only get service at one location or the other, but not both at the same time. I asked her what she meant by "normally" since she didn't say I "couldn't" do that, but she just repeated the "normally" statement. I'd have to call in and have service deactivated and reactivated every day and night when I went to the barn and then came back to the house. Any suggestions on how to proceed without adding a new account and paying double?
