I read lyngsat and see lots of "free" DCII channels on C band. THey are shown in the "free" color that lyngsat uses. Do you just buy a 4DTV recvr and connect up to an 8ft dish to get going ? Some say that DCII is encrypted and you need a sub ?

Some channels will come in after the 4dtv is autorized for digital, though not many, others will come in once a subscription is purchased, and a sub is recommended to anyone with the ability to do so, this helps keep the numbers up.

Also keep in mind some channels are not mapped and so you will not see them.
