Personally I think the color looks much better today in the TCU-Texas game. Went back to last week's game on the DVR and the burnt orange of Texas this week looks more accurate than the crimson of Oklahoma last week. And the overall color temperature isn't so cool this week

Beginning today through Saturday there are multiple 4K sports showings including MLB, NFL and College Football. See the Non Discussion thread for schedules.

For the MLB playoff series, it is too bad that they could not do Game 3 in 4K. For one thing, it is on at the same time as the Thursday NFL game, and for another it is on MLB Network, not FS1. So, the bad news is that Game 3 is not in 4K, but the good news is that it is in free preview. :)

There was audio earlier but the game lost it 10-15 min ago? Not just on Dish either. The Fox Sports app had it in HDR and they delisted it after the audio went out.

I did a comparison between my Hopper feed and the streaming feed from the Fox Sports app on my Roku. Roku won big time here because it was not only 4K but also had HDR. Interesting enough my AppleTV was only 4K like DISH. They looked similar.

Does the 4K Fire Stick do HDR too?

I tried to watch last Saturday's game on my Roku-equipped TCL TV in the Fox Sports app and couldn't figure out if it was the 4K HDR feed or not (likely not, didn't look much better than the 720p feed). Do you have to select a different event for 4K or does it automatically send the 4K stream when it's available if you select the game? Is there a way to check it's 4K beyond the eye test? Based on the Super Bowl FAQ from Fox Sports, Roku 4K TVs should be capable of watching it in 4K
