4K Events Discussion Thread

Record the channel on your Hopper, then you can view it on a non-HDR TV. I have A 2015 Samsung 65 inch non-HDR 4K TV and recording works.

In fact you can start watching immediately after starting the recording. just make sure you are watching the recording, not the satellite feed.

I can even watch a 4K HDR recording on my old 42 inch 720p plasma, the Hopper converts the signal to 720p for the Panny.

The Hopper sees the 65 inch 4K TV as 4K and the picture is a little muted (lack of HDR), but it works.
I can't even select the channel to schedule the recording without receiving the dreaded warning dialog box. 😊

Well, this is new for me. I tried to schedule the 4K college game this Saturday, but this is what it gives me. It doesn't even have an option to record. Do you think my Hopper can tell that my TV just won't work no matter what?😂😂 it actually makes me laugh because what you describe to do clearly should work like it does for you already. 😊👍🏽
