4K joey all laggy

how is the joey 4 vs the 4k joey ?? have a new lg g5 in the joey 4k location, so using that box more got me thinking of the swap..
does the joey 4 do pip ?? and does it still have the full time hdr flag ??

called the other day, tried 3 different phone calls, just wanted a joey 4 to swap the 4k box for, but each call was a mess, they were going to charge me to send a joey 3 box, and turn off the 4k, i passed and told them not to change things.
it shouldn't be that confusing to send a joey 4 is it ??
it will take you a week to get used to the screens since it's android and not linux but are very similar in functions they work beautiful with the hopper 3. it took me a month to get used to the hopper and i still don't know everything about it :biggrin :rolleyes. the 4k joey is NOT HDR compliant!!!

if the tech brings anything else other than what you asked for and bought and paid for DO NOT accept it!!! the lower reps will ask if it's been activated ofcourse you say yes it has!!! the lower reps will tell you tuff titties said the kitty it's been activated you own it we don't want it back it's your's you bought it :mad: then they will try and charge you all over again for a joey 4 when it's there screw up:mad:. then the reps will swear up and down the 4k joey is HDR compliant and it's the latest and greatest box :rolleyes 🤔. and be prepared for the upsells you know like a wireless joey and not the joey 4 that you ordered :rolleyes

can any twit install a joey 4 as in doing a swap out or will they require a truck roll.. i can see a truck roll if coax needs to be ran...
i think the 3rd guy said they would ship me a joey 4 , and i would swap it..

might follow up again, if they will ship me the joey 4... not sure i want the hdr flag all the time though, for the new lg G oled at that location.

the joey 4k i think can still do hdr, just doesn't show up in the guide, and its a quirk, to watch a dvr, or join a session from the h3... sort of a work around, not 100% it still works..
the 4k joey is not the snappiest thing either..

a poster on here said it will do 1080i HDR with an internet connection. i want full fledged 4K HDR
we own all of boxes so they tell us to keep em they don't want the old boxes back
After they sent us another 4k joey i wasn't home i seen what i didn't pay for LMFAO i went on there facebook page and told em to cancel my service i wasn't dealing with the clown shows the rep tried fixing it but could not fix it since they didn't have the tools or resources to so they told me to call in and ask for the relationship repair team so i did.. they took care of it and waived the 100 smackers for the joey 4 and said to keep the 4k joey they didn't want it back i own it
have you tried the relationship repair team 🤔
as far as i can gather the 4k joey and the joey 4 have the same processor though it just seems smoother

So much misinformation.
Techs have a work order with the required equipment on it. Techs cannot change it up on a whim, and even if they DO have to modify a WO, the CSR needs the 4-digit security code from the customer to confirm.

Then the receivers only get activated one way - on the job, by tech, AFTER it's installed on their phone or by CALLING Dish, who will need to confirm the equipment and Receiver and Smart Card numbers.
Or by the Customer on the phone if the customer is doing their own installation.
NO CSR is going to "upsell" a Wireless Joey unless one is needed. Dish highly recommends wired Joeys whenever possible.
Needed, as in, no way to run cable to the location.

Yes you guys do have work orders to go by!!! when i was on the phone with dish with the relationship repair dept since the lower reps didn't have the tools to correct the issue.. they have me go into the system info on the box the guy installed. and they verified it was a 4k joey then i told em to look at the work order it should say a joey 4 was bought. the rep did and seen i bought a joey 4 and not the 4k joey.. at that point i was like WTF :mad:. So they waived the charges and sent out someone else with the joey 4 and put it in and said i own the 4k joey and to toss it. I feel that dish should have never activated the 4k joey since it was not what i ordered and it was not on the work order.. even my gf told him the joey 4. he also asked her if we had internet and tried sticking her with a wireless joey she told him no and that we ordered the joey 4!!! i have no clue what this dudes issue was maybe he was new 🤔.. i dunno but the only thing that should happened was a 4k joey should have been replaced with a joey 4!!!
