622 no HDMI sound

Any idea why a 622 would transmit a good pic but no audio to TV via HDMI? Connecting blu-ray player to same cable works fine.

I had a 622 a looooong time ago. Let me correct that. I had TWO, because the HDMI connector was notoriously bad on that model.

Try changing the audio settings, such as setting it to PCM.

Also try a new HDMI cable for the heck of it

Make sure Alternate Audio is set to English. One more than one model of ViP receiver, I have seen a bug where the Alternate Audio setting will change to another language (usually Italian) on its own after a software update. So, it is a good idea to check that setting periodically, just in case. Even if it does say English, try changing it to another language, save the changes, and then go back and change it back to English, saving that change also. These steps will ensure that the Alternate Audio actually is set to English.
