the true value of an item, is what someone will pay for it...

This fellow bagged a nib (new in box) Radio Shack 8½ foot aluminum BUD with H-H motor.
That's a desirable size, and a superb motor.

So, a 7' BUD, with no motor, while it probably cost $400 new, is hard to sell at $225.
On the other hand, the hidden cost of spending half a day to recover an old BUD, can add up.
I spent $75 on a flat bed truck to transport mine.
Then, there were maybe $30 worth of cargo straps, $20 worth of lumber and bolts, lunch 'n dinner for my crew... it adds up!
So, being able to toss this box in your SUV or a pickup truck, has a lot of value! ;)
Hmm, a brand new 7 foot mini-BUD .
Yea, I agree. But don't say that to the 6' guys. -
