722 Ota?

Good afternoon, I have had the 722 for a week now. I have a small HDTV antenna connected to the tv. I was thinking about hooking it up to the back of the 722 but I was curious if there was any benefit to that. Will I get more channels? Better reception?
I had a D* HR20 and the OTA connection was awful. I ended up hooking the antenna to the TV like it is now.

you can do 3 recordings on 722 if you hook up antenna

Yes, you will get whatever OTA channels you small antena can pick up.

I love being able to record 3 network shows all in HD.

I put an antenna in my attic and split it and ran it to the 722 and to the TV. Then if a storm takes down my satellite reception, I can still get locals thru my TV.

If your signed up for your locals it will show program info in the guide the color will be yellow. I have not had any problems with OTA on the 722.
