8 New HD RSN Channels Added 7/11

I just found out its on 129. Seriously RETARDED. I have 110/119/118.7 for HD locals. I have a 61.5 for internationals. I'm not getting a 3rd dish for FSN HD. Shame on dish for not duplicating this on 118.7 or 61.5. Not many people have 129 in Detroit because they have no need for it.

I really don't know what the big deal is with the RSNs. I have had the FoxAZ HD since it lit up and haven't seen any HD programming on the channel. The only thing I see is the Dish Logo. They can save the bandwidth as far as i'm concerned.

Depends on the channel. FSN North HD has over 40 Twins games in HD this year so it is a great addition for me.

Wait till basketball and hockey season. Since it's baseball season the DBacks are on a cable only situation. Once winter sports come around you'll see entires.

The channel takes no space when it's running the logo. Virtually nil.

Fox Sports Detroit HD

I too have a dish pointed at 61.5 & one at 110/119. I called Dish about FSN Detroit HD which I have been waited forever for. One person said it will only be on 129 and to have another dish installed for 129 will cost $248.

The Account Specialist Department said FSN Detroit HD will not be available until
August 15th and will be mirrored on 61.5.

I also talked with the overseas call center and after 1.5 hours could not find anyone to answer my questions. Most of the 1.5 hours was spent on hold while they looked for someone to answer my questions. What a joke!!!

Signed back up with E* back in Feb. They installed 1000.2 to receive 110, 119, 129. Was able to watch Fox Detroit HD last night. PQ was good but not "eye-popping" like OTA HD.

Watched the Twins/Tigers on FSN North last night in HD, that was the ONLY thing i missed about leaving Comcast last August...

I agree! Comcast in my area carried FSN Detroit HD. I left them in Feb. mainly because of the "free" 622 (beats Comcast's DVR hands down).

I agree primetime. It was great to see the game on FSN North HD although there were a few "glitches" with the PQ...... overall i was very pleased.

Wonder how many T'wolves and Wild game will be broadcast on FSN North HD this coming season ?

Is there a chance that my Sports south will be mirrored on 61.5 too?
I am 'this' close to getting the 1000.2 installed so I could get this one channel but if it might be mirrored in the future I can wait.

I have clear sky to 61.5 and 129 was hard to hit without getting the DISH up on the roof and then it was not the best signal.
So we settled for 61.5 and a side dish

If any of you think 129 is what I need to do let me know. I don't watch the sports really but I will not want to miss any of the new HD channels that are on the way!

Well it's a mixed blessing. You can now watch regional broadcasts of teams from other parts of the country but local teams may very well be blacked out as they are in L.A.

Would like to caution everyone about getting too optimistic. Reason#1 -RSn's may or may not carry HD Reason #2- My RSN blacked out most local sports. So I did not watch my RSN when it arrived here. Depended on the usual carriers or the National HD channels. Hope it helps someone, though.
