A question about the DVR

Hey guys,

I have the HD DVR and it supports ethernet, and a friend is getting D* and is asking me if the SD DVR also supports ethernet, does it?

I doubt it, but can't give you a 100 % answer because I don't have any of the older DVR's ...

I'm thinking the ethernet addition is a newer item.

Ethernet is only supported on the HR2* series HD-DVR for VOD.

If any other box has an ethernet jack, it does nothing and was probably just intended for future-proofing. Nothing will be coming of it, now or ever.

No. The R15 & R16 Directv SD-DVRs do not have an ethernet port.
