See what the model number is on the LNB when you get up there ...I guess ill have to climb up. On the roof. I looked with binoculars and I couldn't see anything but a metal tube. How will I be able to tell if it's swm lnb?
And he'll only need 1 line from the LNB regardless.Upgrade the other dish to swm so both setups are identical.
That will more then likely eliminate the issue your having.
SL3SPIG-P "Built in Multi-Switch with 1 Output" is SWM just an older one.So you have a non swm lnb and will need the b band converter. You will be able to use only one tuner in the dvr. Make sure to go into the settings menu and change the dvr to single tuner mode.
That is definitely a swm lnb, its a very old one, one of the originals before they went to green labels. Should work fine though, but you will need a power inserter, I don't know of anywhere you could pick one up locally.... may check craigslist.Any local stores I can buy an inverter? March madness is not the same watching on the computer.
Correct, I was going by what Gdubs97 posted, not the picture. Sorry for any confusion.SL3SPIG-P "Built in Multi-Switch with 1 Output" is SWM just an older one.
