Adding free & legal IPTV HLS m3u8 feeds to Edision OS MIO 4K

So you must install a physical file on your local drive for Edision to open? I wanted to simply point Edision to the location on the Internet the way a PC works.
That could work also. But IF your address is an https, just use the add-stream plugin for http and backspace and then add the "s" then type in the rest of the address.

I tried with and without the 's'. It didn't work.
Of course it won't. That's why I just told you to backspace and ADD the "s" to the http. You want it to say https://whatevertheurlis.

Also, do NOT forget that these addresses are CASE sensitive!

For some stupid reason, the Add-Stream plugin doesn't have a preconfigured https choice. But you can manually do it like I've said.

I've also noticed that IF you make a mistake, it doesn't allow you to correct it after you've saved it. You have to delete the bad one that doesn't work, and create a brand new one. I highly suggest you get a remote keyboard. Then, go right up to the screen and make SURE it's all correct before you do the final save. It can be pretty difficult, especially with an address that's real long. Even the tiniest error can be overlooked, as I've found out myself

I guess we're not communicating. I said I tried it with http://XXXX and also with https://XXXX. It doesn't work. I've typed it enough that I almost have it memorized. Yes, case sensitive. I typed it correctly.

I just want to get one link to work, then I will consider whether I want to pursue using this feature with a remote keyboard for example.

I would like to be able to record an IPTV stream.

I can't figure out how to enter an IPTV stream into a bouquet. The media player seems to be cut off from the satellite receiver side of the box. I have Mio+ with TNAP 3.2.
If you have the Dreambox Edit program, see my post #24. Once I learned how to do it, I found that it works very well.

Ok, I just tried it from your link above:
Code:
https://uplynkcontent.sinclairstoryline.com/channel/ddd76fdc1c0a456ba537e4f48e827d3e.m3u8
and it doesn't work for some reason. I definitely typed it all correctly, but the Mio can't resolve this one for some reason. It does play in VLC though.

Try this one, it's a good one (You Too America), but not Nasa YTA TV – Something Different.:
Code:
http://thegateway.app:8081/YouToo/CueTones/playlist.m3u8

Most of these streams don't work very well on my 500 Mb internet service.

Will these work? Audio feeds.
Mega 104.3 Old School Phoenix

KHTN Hot104.7 Merced, CA Hip Hop

The Groove 99.3 Bakersfield, CA Old School

KQIE San Bdno., Ca Old School
You might need to put those in .M3U files. Should also play in the browser. I will probably add more so when I go for the holidays, I can hear this on the train.
