Carsten Charles pitched again on Saturday.

This time he went 7.2 innings, gave up 0 runs and had 6 strike outs. Funny how people only talk about the big fella when he has a poor outing.

Fatassthia did it against the Royals, lets see how he does against a major league team. He is not in the AL or NL Central anymore.

Sabathia didn't pitch against "major league" teams last year and during his '07 Cy Young season??!

This is 2009, but if you want to go back to 2007, I think Beckett should of won the CY. But that is neither here nor there, because Beckett made him look pretty small in the playoffs, as did the Phillies last year.

You evidently don't understand the criteria for winning a Cy Young then.

Cy Young awards go to the best pitcher during the regular season. There were post season MVP awards that were available to Beckett.

I do understand. I thought Beckett had a better regular season in 2007.

What does the AL Central have to do with anything, just because he played in the Central doesn't mean he didn't pitch against the REST of the AL as well.

fwiw, the AL Central has been very formidable over the past 5 years.

Things are not looking good for the Yankees as "X" Nady is undergoing an MRI on his surgically repaired right elbow today in Tampa. He felt extreme pain throwing from the OF last night @ the Trop.

I hope all is OK with "X". I've been a fan of his since his Cal days. Nice guy.

Holy Crap! That is a huge surprise!

HD,

X is very much like DeRo...a real scrapper who can play several positions well. Plus he can flat out hit! He holds several Cal baseball records. This may be the end of his carreer as he is a free agent next season and (if these rumors hold true) this is his 2nd surgery on that elbow.

Yet another downer in my '09 sesson.:(

Sorry to hear that. But if X is like the hard working, blue color guys like the DeRo's and Casey Blake's of the world, I tend to believe he'll be back. He's still young (31) and I'm sure he'll work his tail off to play again, if just to prove his critics wrong.

Get well soon X!

Wake just had his no-no broken up in the 8th. :(

I was REALLY hoping he'd get it . :(

Wake has been such a trooper for this team the last 15 years!

Little known factoid: Wakefield is third all-time on the Red Sox win list behind Cy Young and Roger Clemens

My Two Cents on Alex Ovechkin

OK....the kool-aid has worn off....BENCH JaMarcus Russell!!
