Hi,

I’m trying connect to Galaxy 16 on the Vertical Ku Band using a Primestar/ Channelmaster LNB with model number NJR2119F. I’m using a XR3 with the newest version installed and set to Generic Ku with a Universal LNB setting. I have not been able to see any lock though I am confident that I am on the dish. Does anyone know if I can use the XR3 to connect to this dish or is there a setting I’m missing to read this LNB? Thanks for the help.

This is a question best asked in the FTA sub-forum rather than the Satellite Guys support forum.

Is your Applied Instruments XR-3 outfitted with the VSAT-S2X module?

Harshness,

I Will try to post this on the FTA sub-forum and yes I am using the VSAT-S2X module.

LMGTFY gives separate H and V outputs, LOF 10750 (so not universal!), for the LNB.

Did you try that?
I myself don't have knowledge of that LNB, though.

And by the way, Silerster , welcome to the forum! :welcome2

A33,

when the XR3 is asking what LNB I am using its gives me specific options see below. And since the numbers are not printed on the LNB I went with the universal option to cover the most choices.

I found this regarding your model # LNBF :

3 Types of H/V LNBs have been seen model NJR2119F, NJR2212F &
some with no model#s. They can be converted to a LNBF by connecting the
H V cables to the input of a DirecTv Multiswitch. Some Primestar setups
with more than 1 receiver should have a multiswitch already installed at the
house. Horz goes to 17v and Vert goes to 14V dish inputs. Once setup to
use the LNBF format they will work with FTA, 4DTV and Dish (as a
superdish addon)
Use 10750 as the LO freq in your receiver setup. Also in use was a LNBF
with 1 output. Primestar LNBS will be mounted like in the photo with the H
port up or like in the bottom photos with the V up. Beware of improper
installs where they are mounted crossway.
The LNB skew will most likely be set to +10.
