AMC Preview on Dish Network bottom tier?

Hey,

I have the 120 channel option on Dish and saw that AMC has recently appeared there. It doesn't say preview. And is colored in the guide the same way as subscribed channels.

Any thoughts? Confirmation? I figure it's just a preview - though I can't find the announcement of any. Part of me is thrilled as I would like to have AMC for the Walking Dead series coming up.

AMC is in free preview, the info does not show in the guide, you need to go to channel 102 to see what is current. This month also has cooking, gsn, one of the science channels, nfl network and smc.

Thanks Gary - where Dish is concerned - I'm used to disappointment as opposed to surprise. So this is par for the course.

These with an old but grandfathered package called HD Absolute that was $30 for all Dish HD programing save RSNs (at the time).

I've noticed all free previews have their hd counterpart up for free. If I'm not mistaken, that's a first.

AMC premieres their Zombie t.v. show/mini-series called, The Walking Dead on Halloween night. I'm sure that has something to do with the free preview.

I almost thought this was because of the FOX dispute. I have Absolute too and have never seen free HD previews.

I have HDA and am getting the AMC preview in HD.

Most of the time, the HD free previews are of channels us HDA folks already get. Thats why it doesn't appear as if we get any.
